HOW DOES A TEAM REGISTER TO PLAY IN THE DISTRICT VIII CUP

if a team wins in the Cal North State Cup and desires to play in the next stage, the Far West Regional games.  They will need to immediately start getting their finances in order.  The 2024 Far West Regional games will be held:

Boys and girls in the 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U, 17U, 18U and 19U age groups. ( 9U, 10U and 11U do not advance to regionals).

Teams must be registered with a Cal North member league in order to be accepted. The team’s playing league requirement can be fulfilled by playing in Cal North, US Club, or other approved playing league.

Approved playing leagues are all leagues affiliated through US Soccer, including but not limited to Cal North  CCSL, CNPC, and USYS National League, Girls Academy League, ECNL, NorCal Premier League, or a comparable Cal North District Playing League.

Cal North State Cup will determine the teams that will move on to Far West Regional Championships and represent their club & Northern California.  If the team wins in the Regional Championship games, they may advance to the National Championship games.  The entire progression, from District Cup, through State Cup, and Regionals, is a very challenging process, requiring 100% effort and participation from all team members.  For Regional & National games, teams will travel outside of the state to play.

IF A TEAM WINS THEIR DISTRICT CUP, AND IN STATE CUP, WHAT THEN?

FARWEST REGIONALS, 2024

Needless to say, going to Hawaii, and staying in Hawaii will require a good deal of cash, so the team would need to be prepared to tackle financial fundraising immediately.  The question as to this aspect should be considered as a topic, prior to playing in State Cup.  The cause for this would be so that that the team member families could determine in advance, if they were financially capable of participating in the Far West Regionals, if the team wins.  If a large portion of the indicates that they could not financially handle going to the Regionals, this will impact the viability of the team being able to go to the Regionals.
